Overview
The Research Cell successfully conducted a Research Design Workshop on Friday, 14 November 2025, at the Dental Basic Lecture Hall, HITEC-IMS. The workshop was designed to strengthen faculty members’ understanding of research methodologies, study designs, and practical application in academic research. A total of 20 faculty participants attended the session.

Workshop Summary (Activities, Engagement & Outcome)
The workshop featured interactive scenario-based tasks, small-group discussions, and practical exercises that encouraged active participation from all 20 faculty members. Participants collaboratively analyzed real research scenarios, identified study designs, and justified methodological choices. The lively engagement and hands-on approach enhanced their understanding of research methods and improved their confidence in selecting appropriate study designs. Overall, the workshop successfully strengthened faculty research capacity and supported the development of stronger, methodologically sound research proposals.
Conclusion
The Research Design Workshop was successfully conducted and achieved its intended objectives. The facilitators and participants contributed to a productive and engaging academic experience, and the Research Cell plans to continue organizing similar capacity-building sessions to strengthen institutional research culture.
