Basic Life Support Workshop
Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Department in collaboration with Life Savers Foundation conducted a comprehensive, full-day Basic Life Support (BLS) training workshop for House Officers at Dental College HITEC-IMS on 8th and 9th June 2026.
The workshop aimed to equip healthcare professionals with life-saving skills. The activity was facilitated by Dr. Zeeshan Baig, along with OMFS department. Participants learned and practiced the steps of Basic Life Support including ventilation, chest compressions, application of Automated External Defibrillator, and choking management in adult and pediatric patients on mannequins. Each participant received close supervision to ensure correct technique and immediate corrective feedback. The workshop concluded with a comprehensive assessment of all participants.
A total of 51 participants, including one dental surgery assistant, successfully completed the workshop.
This BLS training aimed to promote the highest standards of professional development and humanitarian service.
