CAREER SKILLS WORKSHOP
The Alumni Association of Dental College HITEC-IMS organized another exciting event, a ‘Career Skills Workshop’ on Wednesday, 4th February 2026.
The workshop was preceded by hands-on training on job interview skills. A panel of selection board was appointed to conduct mock interviews. The board consisted of Dr Beenish Qureshi, Dr Amir Rafiq, Dr Shazana Rana, Dr Rabia and Maj Azhar.
The workshop commenced with the recitation of the Holy Quran, followed by opening remarks by the President of the Alumni Association.
The workshop featured a series of informative lectures aimed at enhancing students’ professional readiness. Dr. Bilal, Demonstrator from the department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, delivered a session on Digital Professionalism, focusing on social media ethics and management. This was followed by Dr. Rida Batool from the department of Oral Pathology, who conducted an insightful lecture on LinkedIn optimization and professional email management.
A comprehensive session on CV writing was delivered by Dr. Khadeja from the department of Oral Medicine, after which Dr. Shahan from department of Periodontology, addressed the participants on effective communication skills and strategies for acing interviews.
The workshop also included a panel discussion to provide feedback on the mock interviews previously mentioned. The primary objective of these interviews was to boost participants’ confidence and familiarize them with real-world interview formats. The panel members shared valuable feedback and addressed queries raised by the participants, making the session highly interactive and beneficial.
