The department of Periodontology deals with the most basic structure of the oral cavity i.e. Periodontium. This subject forms an essential part of 3rd year BDS students’ training and teaching. The faculty of department is dedicated to provide requisite knowledge and mastery of subject to students.
To provide excellence & innovation in education, patient care & scientific discovery in the field of Periodontology. Our department is committed to advance the science of Periodontology & creating new knowledge. We seek to serve the community by providing & foresting periodontal care to improve oral & overall health.
The objective of periodontal department is to enable students to diagnose and treat periodontal diseases. We aim to do so through proper training program and patient care.

Associate professor Dr Wajeeha Javed gratuated from nishtar medical college multan (2001) and completed M.C.P.S (periodontology)from federal govt services hospital isb in 2016. She started her professional carrier as demonstrator from islamic international dental hospital (2004) served in margalla institute of health sciences 2004-2009 as demonstrator.After completing m.c.p.s training she worked as registrator in margalla institiute of health sciences (2011-2014).she joined dental college HITEC-IMS Taxila as assistant professor in Sep 2016.
