Introduction

Department of Medicine is a highly specialized department and is the hub of clinical and educational activities. All the major sub-specialties are well established and are providing the state of the art care to their patients. There are general medical units headed by very experienced specialists. In addition, there is a well equipped bedded medical intensive care unit.

Prof. Dr. Shahid Saleem professional journey began in December 1981 at POF Hospital Wah Cantt and Wah Medical College, where he served in multiple capacities over the span of four decades—from Medical Officer to Consultant Physician, Professor of Medicine, and ultimately Medical Director. After retiring in November 2016, he rejoined POF Hospital and Wah Medical College in February 2017, serving for another five years with the same dedication and passion.

Since February 2nd, 2022, he has been serving as Professor and Head of the Department of Medicine at Dental College HITEC-IMS. Here, he is proud to be part of a dynamic and student-centered environment that upholds the highest standards in clinical teaching and ethical medical practice.
