The Blood Donation Society of HITEC-IMS, in collaboration with PathWell, organized a Blood Donation Camp on 21st May 2025 at the Lecture Hall, HITEC-IMS. The event was aimed at promoting voluntary blood donation and raising awareness about the crucial need for blood in emergencies and routine healthcare.
Activities/Key Highlights
The event was formally inaugurated by the Principals of the Medical and Dental Colleges. They appreciated the commitment and collaborative spirit of the organizing team.
• The President of the Blood Donation Society presented the annual report summarizing the society’s previous activities, achievements, and future goals. This report was well-received by faculty and attendees.
• A total of 101 units of blood were collected, with enthusiastic participation from students and staff.
• Students from both medical and dental colleges actively contributed, showcasing exceptional spirit and responsibility.
- Appreciation certificates were given to donors and active volunteers.
• Dr. Rizwan Sultan (HOD Surgery, Trauma Surgeon) from NESCOM IMS delivered an engaging talk on the importance of timely blood donation in emergencies, emphasizing how each unit of blood can save multiple lives.
• Shields were awarded to the guest speaker, college principals, patrons of the Blood Donation Society, and the hardworking team members who ensured the event’s success.
Conclusion
The Blood Donation Camp was a highly productive and motivational event. It not only achieved its goal of collecting blood but also strengthened the values of empathy, service, and medical responsibility among students.
