Donate a Plant – Green Independence Day Drive

Objective and Initiative:

 To celebrate the 78^th Pakistan Independence Day, Dental College HITEC-IMS launched a special initiative  Donate A Plant – Green Independence Day Drive.The goal was to collect plants for enhancing the greenery of HIT EC and promote environment sustainability.

 The focus was exclusively on large plants to create immediate visual and environmental impact across key zones of the college/hospital and HITEC.

Participation & Engagement

• Faculty Participation: Principal dental college, all  departmental involvement, with contributions from all clinical and basic dental sciences departments.
• Student Volunteers: Each class from BDS- 1^st year to final year contributed plants.
• Support Staff:  The administration and support staff joined hands in the drive and made it successful.
• HITEWT
• HITEC University
• Budget Directorate
• Dental Center  

Total Plants Donated: Around 350.

Tree Plantation Event:

On 13^th August 2025,  HITEC organized a tree plantation event in the sports ground HITEC  to plant the collected plants. The event was attended by:

·        Dir HITEWT Brig(R) Imran Ahmad Malik                     

·        Prof Dr Irfan Shah, Principal Dental College HITEC-IMS

·        Dir Adm & Ops Maj(R)  Muhammad Azhar Iqbal

·        Prof Dr Shahzana Rana

·        Prof Dr Rabia Masood

·        Fifty students selected from dental college

·        All the members planted trees in the sports ground.
