Workshop overview:
The workshop focused on practical applications of AI in health professions education. It introduced participants to AI-supported tools for writing SMART learning objectives, planning lessons using Bloom’s Taxonomy and Gagné’s Nine Events, and designing learner-centered content. The facilitator, Prof. Dr. Rehan Ahmed Khan, emphasized responsible and ethical integration of AI into academic settings. Toward the end of the session, he conducted a short quiz summarizing key workshop concepts and presented his book on AI in education to winning participants. The college presented Dr. Rehan with a shield and certificate of appreciation in recognition of his valuable contributions. This was a certified CME/CPD activity, and credit hours were officially awarded by NUMS University.

Conclusion:
The workshop was highly appreciated by all attendees. It was seen as practical, relevant, and engaging. Faculty members expressed strong interest in future sessions and emphasized the importance of integrating such innovative approaches into routine teaching practices. Participants found the hands-on exposure to AI tools extremely valuable for their academic roles. The interactive nature of the workshop, including group work, discussions, and a concluding quiz, helped reinforce key concepts. The presence of institutional leadership and the formal acknowledgment of the facilitator further demonstrated the college’s commitment to progressive, technology-enhanced education. Such initiatives foster a culture of continuous professional development and educational excellence.
