Principal Dental College Invited as Expert Panelist on Oral Cancer

On two different independent academic forums, Principal Dental College Prof. Dr. Irfan Shah was invited as an expert during panel discussions on Oral Cancers. The first event held on 12 July 2025 was an online webinar organized by Pakistan Dental Association, Punjab Chapter. Together with Prof. Dr. Riaz Warraich and Prof. Dr. Assad Chatha, he educated the participants about the role a general dentist can play in the prevention, early diagnosis and timely management of oral cancers.
The second event – Launch of Pak-UK Oral Cancer Research Consortium – was a face-to-face meeting held on 14 July 2025 at Khyber Medical University, Peshawar. The panel discussion focused on recent advances and state of oral cancer research nationally and internationally. Dr. Irfan Shah emphasized the need to translate research findings into clinical practice to improve patient care and clinical outcomes.
Participating in both these activities is part of his ongoing efforts to create awareness regarding the deadly oral cancer.
