Introduction

The Department of Behavioral Sciences plays a vital role in shaping the future healthcare professional by integrating psychological, social, emotional, and ethical dimensions of care into medical and dental practice. Understanding human behavior, patient psychology, and effective communication is as critical as clinical knowledge in promoting holistic health.

This department offers structured teaching in behavioral sciences, clinical interviewing, and counseling techniques. We prepare students to approach patient care with empathy, cultural sensitivity, and strong interpersonal skills—bridging the gap between clinical competence and compassionate care.

Aim

To enhance the psychosocial and emotional competence of future healthcare professionals through education, training, and support in behavioral sciences.
