


A meet and greet session was organized to welcome the 3rd and 4th year BDS students and introduce them to the Alumni. The session began with a warm welcome for the juniors, followed by a brief introduction of the Alumni by the President, Dr. Haseeb. The General Secretary, Dr. Afeefa, provided an overview of the alumini, its objectives, and ongoing activities.
The audience was informed about the Alumni’s upcoming events and future plans. An interactive question-and-answer session allowed students to clarify their queries and learn more about the association. The members of the Alumni team were then introduced to the attendees. The gathering was further addressed by the Principal, Dr. Irfan Shah, who encouraged students to actively participate in alumni initiatives. A membership drive was conducted to motivate students to join the Alumni Association. Refreshments was served to all participants, providing an opportunity for informal interaction and networking. The event concluded with interviews for the selection of Alumni Representatives from the 3rd and 4th year classes, followed by a group photograph of all participants






The HIDAC successfully organized the 1st House Officers Sports Fiesta on 9 December 2025 at the HITEC Sports Ground. The event was attended by a large number of House Officers, Faculty and staff members, creating a vibrant and energetic atmosphere. The program began with the recitation of the Holy Quran, followed by opening remarks from the Vice Principal Prof. Dr. Waheed Ullah and President HIDAC, Dr. Bisal Tahir. A variety of fun games and friendly competitions were arranged to promote teamwork, interaction, and healthy engagement between House Officers, Faculty and staff members. In addition to the sports activities, departmental stalls were set up by various clinical departments. These included a breakfast platter stall by the OMFS Department, a pakora stall by the Orthodontics Department, along with several other creative setups. All food items were prepared collaboratively by both faculty members and house officers, adding a warm, community-focused touch to the event. The sports activities began with a spoon race between faculty members and house officers, followed by a friendly cricket match. A volleyball match was also held, keeping the spirit of sportsmanship alive. The event concluded with a highly spirited Tug of War, in which the Faculty Team emerged victorious. Participants thoroughly enjoyed the event, engaging enthusiastically in both the stalls and the games. The Sports Fiesta concluded with a photography session, capturing memorable moments and marking the success of this inaugural event.








The HIDAC Alumni organized a meetup session at Serena Hotel, Islamabad, where thirty-three participants, including graduates from three batches and esteemed faculty members, gathered for an engaging hi-tea from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM. The event was graced by the presence of the Chief Guest, Principal Professor Dr. Irfan Shah, whose inspiring words set a warm and motivating tone for the evening. Alongside him, distinguished faculty members including Vice Principal Prof. Dr. Waheed, Prof. Dr. Beenish, Dr. Shazana Rana, Dr. Maimoona Siddiq, Dr. Fatima Khattak, Dr. Sharaz, Dr. Jaweria, and Dr. Bilal joined the alumni, creating an atmosphere filled with respect, encouragement, and fun.
The gathering was much more than a formal reunion; it was a heartfelt opportunity to reconnect, and share experiences from the diverse journeys of dentistry. Alumni spoke with gratitude about revisiting cherished memories while also discussing the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead in clinical practice, specialization, and research. Faculty members enriched the conversations with their wisdom, encouraging graduates to pursue excellence, innovation, and patient-centered care. The management of HIDAC Alumni ensured flawless organization, from the welcoming arrangements to the smooth flow of the program, making the event both elegant and impactful.
In essence, the HIDAC Alumni Hi Tea 2025 was a celebration of shared bonds and professional growth. It rekindled friendships, strengthened ties between alumni and faculty. The event stood as a testament to the enduring spirit of HIDAC, reminding everyone that while careers may take them in different directions, the values, connections, and legacy of their alma mater continue to unite them.






The HITEC Dental Alumni Council (HIDAC) has announced its newly elected leadership for the 2025–2026 term following the second alumni elections held on September 25th, 2025. Graduates from the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd batches participated enthusiastically through an online voting process, reflecting the growing engagement and unity of the HIDAC community.
By majority vote, Dr. Bisal Tahir from the 3rd Batch has been elected as President of HIDAC, succeeding Dr. Shawaiz Khan, who served as the founding president of the council. The new executive team also includes Dr. Huda Habib (General Secretary), Dr. Umer Farooq (Administrative Head), Dr. Fareeha Khan (Finance Head), and Dr. Areeba Amir (Media Head).
A Presidential Handover Ceremony was held on October 2nd, 2025, to formally mark the transition of leadership. The event was attended by Prof. Dr. Irfan Shah, Principal HITEC Dental College, along with Dr. Shazana Rana, Head of the Department of Pharmacology, and Dr. Fatima Khattak, Assistant Professor, Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
During the ceremony, Dr. Shawaiz Khan, the outgoing President, delivered his farewell address, reflecting on his tenure and highlighting the initiatives and challenges that shaped HIDAC’s early growth.
Following the leadership transition, Dr. Bisal Tahir addressed the attendees, outlining the vision and goals for the coming year. “The Alumni Council will continue to serve as a bridge between our graduates and the institution, fostering mentorship, collaboration, and a strong professional community,” she said.
The event concluded with a group photograph of the newly elected council members alongside the Principal and faculty, symbolizing a new era of continued progress and alumni engagement.
